Who We Love (Who are Helping to End Hunger):

City Harvest is the world’s first food rescue organization, dedicated to feeding hungry New Yorkers. This year, they will collect 55 million pounds of good, nutritious food from farms, restaurants, grocers, and manufacturers – to help feed the nearly 1.4 million New Yorkers struggling to put food on their tables. It all started with an inquiry to a chef serving potato skins about what he did with the insides of the potatoes. Hearing that they went to waste, the idea of a partnership was born. We’re hoping to see more non-profits like them in every city soon. Learn more: https://www.cityharvest.org/

Hungry Harvest aims to end waste and hunger by supplying recovered produce that is fresh, affordable, and delivered right to your door. And for every harvest they deliver, they also donate 2 pounds of produce to help feed someone in need! Our only complaint is that they’re based in Baltimore, but here’s hoping they catch on and spread across the country. Visit: http://www.hungryharvest.net/
