Take Action Tuesdays
With all of the things going on right now, there’s been so much stress and overwhelm for many of us. New schedules, health scares and overall uncertainty are a part of our lives on a regular basis. So, how do we still make the time for the things we care about (like giving back) when so much has changed? Or is continuing to change?
Part of the solution is to break things down into small, bite-size pieces. Easily digested and implemented. Simplicity to cut through the clutter.
With that in mind, I’ve decided to hop in here each Tuesday with a quick, simple action we can all take which will benefit a cause in need. They are meant to be suggestions that make you feel better for having done something to change the world with just a small effort. Baby steps until you feel grounded enough and ready to tackle things on a bigger scale.
And don’t forget to take the time to celebrate when you’ve accomplished one of these! Just because they only take a small effort doesn’t mean that they will have a small impact — especially if we all do them together!
So, without further ado, let’s kick off our first “Take Action Tuesday” with this:
By simply turning off the faucet when you brush your teeth, it’s estimated that you can save three to four gallons of water a day! (That’s per person!) And that adds up really quickly — it’s well over 1,000 gallons a year, or closer to almost 5,000 gallons for your average family of four!
So, join me in turning off the tap whenever you’re brushing your teeth and save more of this incredibly important natural resource. #savewater #waterconservation #waterislife #givingback #takeactiontuesdays #thegivingbacksociety
