1 HOUR ACTION PLAN:
Join a Beach Cleanup. Or river. Or lake. Or even just storm drains. The point is to get plastics out of or away from our waterways, many of which lead to our oceans. This is a great opportunity to get the kids involved with a family day, or perhaps your colleagues would like to bond by helping our oceans together.
You can join an existing cleanup, or create your own! Granted, this might put you past the one hour mark, but it’ll have a big impact if there aren’t any cleanups around you. We found the before, during and after cleanup plans from Ocean Conservancy to be very helpful. Visit their site and start your own!
